Description: Tolfenamic Acid, also known as Clotam, is a COX-2 inhibitor with IC50 of 0.2 μM. Tolfenamic acid is used as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs). Tolfenamic acid acts by interferring with the synthesis of β-amyloid precursor protein, and thus Aβ peptides, by promoting degradation of an essential transcription factor. Tolfenamic acid has been reported to exhibit anti-cancer activities in several types of cancer.
