product name Tanshinone IIA
Description: Tanshinone IIA is derived from phenanthrene-quinone, which can be isolated from Salvia miltiorrhiza BUNGE. The compound can promote anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative, and cytotoxic activity, and well as induce apoptosis. Tanshinone IIA has been shown to decrease levels of iNOS and inhibit synthesis of TNF-α, nitric oxide, and IL-1β. Research has indicated that Tanshinone IIA can inhibit the migration of human aortic smooth muscle cells (HASMC) and AP-1 DNA-binding.
