product name Quinapril HCl

Description: Quinapril HCl (also known as CI-906, PD-109452-2) is the hydrochloride salt of quinapril that is an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor with a Ki of 20 μM. Quinapril is a prodrug that is converted to its active metabolite, quinaprilat. Quinaprils target, ACE, catalyses the formation of angiotensin II from its precursor, angiotensin I. Angiotensin II is a potent vasoconstrictor and thus preventing its formation causes vasodilation and an increased capillary blood volume.
