product name Meprednisone

Description: Meprednisone, also known as NSC 527579, SCH 4358, NSC-63278 and Betapar, is a glucocorticoid and a methylated derivative of prednisone. Meprednisone is a glucocorticoid receptor agonist used to treat allergic and inflammatory of the eye. The methylprednisone to MPL area under the curve ratio decreased from 0.19 +/- 0.04 in control to 0.14 +/- 0.03 in ketoconazole-treated rats due to altered interconversion between these steroids.
