Description: Mefenamic Acid (also known as CI 473,CN-35355) is a potent, nonselective, competitive inhibitor of COX-1 and COX-2. Mefenamic acid belongs to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) agent. Mefenamic Acid has a wide range of acitivity including analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic properties. It is an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase and has demonstrated antiproliferative activity against colorectal cancer cells.
