Description: Amoxicillin Sodium is a moderate- spectrum, bacteriolytic, orally active β-lactam antibiotic. It inhibits bacterial cell wall biosynthesis by preventing peptidoglycan cross-linking. Shows bacteriocidal effects against gram-positive and gram-negative species in vivo. Amoxicillin is often times combined with Clavulanic acid is a β-lactam drug that functions as a mechanism-based β-Lactamase inhibitor.
