product name Cyclovirobuxin D

Description: Cyclovirobuxine D (also called CVB-D) is an active compound extracted from Buxus microphylla, which has been used for treating acute myocardial ischemia. Cyclovirobuxine D an alkaloid component in a traditional Chinese herb, could induce autophagy in the MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line. It has protective effect against oxidative stress and energy metabolism in rats of experimental myocardial injury induced by sympathetic overactivity. Besides, Cyclovirobuxine D is beneficial for heart failure induced by myocardial infarction and supports the potential for Cyclovirobuxine D as a new therapy for heart failure.
